- It seemed like Tom (Theatre, '84) and I were the first people we knew out of college to get married back in '84, but here we are, 23 years later! We left Chicago for a brief stint in Colorado, landed in the Pacific Northwest in 1987 and never looked back. We have two daughters, a 16-year-old high school junior and a 19-year-old who eschewed NU for foreign soil--she's a second year at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland (and, no, she's not a golfer). I am a writer and marketer, and Tom and I work together in the business I started 16 years ago. It's a marketing communications firm where we specialize in helping companies find and tell their stories.
